Ceremonies

In Italy, you can have a valid civil wedding, a religious wedding or a symbolic ceremony.

Civil ceremony

The civil ceremony has to take place in a room “sala comunale” which is a room that belongs to the Town Hall. The room can be inside the Town Hall or in one of the historic building which belongs to the Town Hall. Normally most of the Town Hall are historic building itself and have beautiful rooms with frescoes and old painting inside. There are beautiful Town Halls in the area that we normally recommend to our couples such as Cortona, Perugia, Castiglione del lago, Corciano..

Religious Ceremony

The religious ceremony in Italy normally is a Roman Catholic rite in the church. There are also other churches in mayor cities where other type of rites can take place such as such as Baptist, Anglican, Ortodox…There is a wide selection of churches in the area that we will be glad to suggest to our couples.

Symbolic Ceremony

Also the symbolic ceremony, started to get more common as with this type of rite the couple doesn’t have to go through all the paperworks required to get married in Italy and can have the ceremony at the castle performed by a professional celebrant or a friend.
